Concert Matteo Myderwyk

26 April 2026 – 3 pm

Matteo Myderwyk returns to Voorlinden! Following his previously sold-out concerts at Voorlinden, the Amsterdam-based pianist returns on Sunday 26 April to present his brand-new album Nocturnal Blues. The concert starts at 3 pm in the museum auditorium.

Matteo trained as a classical pianist, but soon left behind the works of musical heroes Bach and Liszt to pursue a freer, more instinctive path – improvising, composing in the moment, and building soundscapes based on pure emotion rather than written notes. His unconventional approach resonates with a broad audience. In recent years, he has been nominated several times for an Edison Award and has performed in some of the Netherlands’ most iconic concert halls.

Live at Voorlinden
While his studio albums often originate at the piano, Matteo’s live performances are something entirely different: immersive, unpredictable and richly atmospheric, driven entirely by intuition and curiosity, moving between different textures, tempi and timbres.

At Voorlinden, he will perform music from his album Nocturnal Blues between 3 and 4 pm. The album was released on the prestigious Warner Classics label and includes Nuages, which is featured in the introductory film for the collection exhibition Silence in the Storm.

When: Sunday 26 April
Where: Auditorium
Time: 3–4 pm (doors open from 2.45 pm)
