Beautiful walks
Want to go hiking during the May holidays? The Voorlinden estate is located against the edge of the Wassenaar dunes and is freely accessible. You can walk around the museum and enjoy Piet Oudolf’s garden. The internationally renowned Dutch garden architect has created a garden here with some 50 species of perennials and ornamental grasses that remains worthwhile all year round.
From the museum, you can take a walk of about three quarters of an hour through the woods, dune meadow and dune area of Voorlinden. From the highest dune you can see the North Sea on a clear day, and in the dunes you will also find Anselm Kiefer’s towers. Eventually, the unpaved path returns to the museum.
Dogs are of course welcome on the estate. Please keep them on a leash to respect the wildlife and birds.
